To answer your topic title question: Whenever you want to! The game is supposed to be about having fun, so if you're not having fun with your current character then switch. Not being able to communicate would suck, though. A good opportunity to see some different builds (or right now, probably just demon hunters) in action might be entertaining, too. Not being able to communicate would suck, but being able to join pubs for split bounty farming and an occasional leech would be win. Is it worth it to use the last of my eShop funds to invest in Nintendo Online so I can play Public or do I need friends?īeing able to play online multiplayer would be worth it, to me. Lastly, I don't know anyone with the game on Switch. UE is faceroll farm and impale is just absolutely bonkers strong. It's fair to say, however, that this is the season of the DH. Akkhan/condemn is still very popular, Rolands and Invoker/thorns are really strong right now, and LoN bomb feels freaking amazing for faceroll speed rifts. Is there a class with a playstyle that is likely to offer some variety from the Hammerdin Crusader?Īny build you go to is going to feel substantially different, even other crusader builds.

Sharing gems among alts is a bit of a pain, but it can save you quite a lot of time. Then, when you log him off to switch alts, you can use it to quickly stash your gems for use on another character. For DH, for example, it might be worth gambling wraps of clarity or the hellcat belt at level one on the cheap.Īnother useful trick is to setup a wardrobe slot for your crusader with empty gem sockets. If you really want to optimize your time, it can also sometimes be useful to study this spreadsheet to see which useful items can be gambled at a low level. None of it is necessary, but it can absolutely make leveling alts more pleasant. You'll have three level 70 items to give you some nice stats and damage, a huge XP boost, and the utility of a prestocked cube.

Aside from leveling the gem of ease, the rest of the prep takes just a couple of minutes and will pay nice dividends. You can put a fat ruby in your Cain's Crown, too, and even pair it with a Leoric crown in the cube. The hellfire ring also has a nice chunk of bonus XP on it and, like the hellfire amulets, is usable at level 1 even though it has level 70 stats. Crafting Cain and Born sets on your new alt will also improve the leveling experience, even if you're getting a boost. If you have the patience, for sure a gem of ease with decent levels on it (the more the better) will make the experience more pleasant. Using it in this fashion on a weapon is a total waste, since you could instead socket it into a level 70 weapon to make it usable at level 1 AND gain bonus XP. Removing the level requirement requires a gem of ease. Is it worth using the Cube to try and take a Legendary Hand Crossbow I found and remove it's Level Requirement?
